Black Friday Brazil: Cell phones are more desired than TVs in 2015

The edition 2015 Black Friday, which takes place next Friday (27), can attract lot of people interested in a new mobile phone. The category exceeds the intention to purchase on any other electronic, according to research conducted by Google and IBOPE to data from the month of August this year.

Of the 1,211 respondents, 43% said they were behind a new smartphone on Black Friday. In comparison, the share interested in computers is 27%, in tablets, 18%, and TVs (category which was featured on Black Friday 2014), only 25%. Despite the great demand for electronics, the clothing items are subject to 56% purchase intent among respondents.



The Google expects phones also dominate in average spending during Black Friday this year. Consumers who thrust a cell wishlist expect to spend on average US $ 1,252. For comparison, the research shows that shoppers will spend somewhere around R $ 1003 in general.Samsung, Apple, Motorola and LG are leading in terms searched.

Clean inventories and more expensive phones

Industry retailers point to Black Friday as an opportunity to intensify sales and clear stock in preparation for December, which is when the PIS and Cofins again have effect on smartphones, tablets, routers and computers.

The move means that from December 2015, mobile phones will become 9.25% more expensive.
