He plays castaway film about history that inspired' Moby Dick
Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, Thor known for role in movie theaters, announced on Sunday (22) in a photo that displays a physical quite different from the one that made him famous. "I just try a new diet / training program called 'Lost at sea'. I would not recommend ... # NoCoraçãodoMar" he wrote in his profile on Instagram.
Watch below the trailer of 'At the heart of the sea'. In hashtag, Hemsworth cites the film "In the heart of the sea", of which he is the protagonist and is expected to debut on December 3 in Brazil. The director is Ron Howard, Oscar winner for "A Beautiful Mind."
The script for "In the Heart of the Sea" is based on the book written by historian Nathaniel Philbrick. It tells the dramatic journey of the ship Essex, who was attacked by a whale with almost human sense of revenge. The maritime disaster occurred in real life and inspired Herman Melville to write the classic "Moby Dick."
Tragedy at sea
As the surviving crew of the Essex eventually taken to its limits, she was forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive. Braving storms, hunger, panic and despair, the men were led to question his deepest beliefs.
In "At the heart of the sea", Chris Hemsworth plays the sailor veteran Owen Chase. The cast also has Benjamin Walker ("Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter") as George Pollard, the inexperienced captain; Cillian Murphy ("Batman: The Dark Knight resurfaces") as Matthew Joy, the second officer; and Ben Whishaw ("007: Operation Skyfall") as the writer Herman Melville, whose investigations into the event 30 years later helped bring the story up.
